This just in from my preferred Search Engine optimization strategist, David Leonhardt, who does not live or die by ‘KEI’ rating. This is the measurement devised on www.worktracker.com for assessing how many folks are using a key phrase – as opposed to those who are requesting it. A high rating is always good … and hard to find.
“I don’t work with KEI because it is too easy to lead someone astray. It’s like saying, one city is five miles wide and another is ten miles wide, and there are 100 thugs who might stop you from crossing the first city and just 120 in the second city, so go for the second city. What KEI does not tell you is that the 100 thugs are mostly at a coffee shop not paying too much attention to anything, whereas the 120 thugs are on the hunt for anyone trying to cross the city.”
