Getting famous is all about who you know...So get to know them!Here's my short list of the best people to connnect with in media and publishing.

So a new month is upon us. Got that heavy feeling of too
many dinky tasks on your to-do list? Or are you energized
because you have a well-lubed system that just keeps on
building platform?
If you’re like most of us, you fall into the first camp. But
don’t worry. I’ve cooked up a few helpful lists that should help
you set up a streamlined promotion system of your own.
It’s broken down into three categories: daily, weekly, and
monthly categories. Feel free to pick and choose among them to
craft a perfect system of your own.
MONTHLY TO-DO’s:
1. Submit at least one article to your own key list of on-line article banks, syndicators and content providers
2. Write and distribute at least two press releases
3. Create a survey or find research that helps create news stories for these press releases
4. Pitch 1-3 articles to mainstream (offline) publications or send out feelers to TV or radio bookers
5. Create a viral marketing comment/news link/freebie and find ways to distribute it
6. Bi-monthly: send out post card campaign to targeted Top 40 media list promoting yourself as an expert (check names first)
7. Bi-monthly: cruise through magazine stands, TV guide, radio directories to update Top 40 list
WEEKLY TO-DO’s:
1. Send out at least three feelers for potential on-line collaborations or joint ventures with other sites, speakers, etc.
2. Write and send out ezine (could be bi-weekly)
3. Follow up on off-line article, radio, TV pitches
4. Add to master list of article ideas
5. Personal pitch to 20 sites to share links & follow up on previous week’s requests
DAILY TO-DO’s:
1. Post blog entry(ies)
2. Monitor paid search engine ad campaigns on Google or Overture
3. Look for other blogs to comment on/link to, etc.
4. Send out requested (hard copy) media kits and follow up on those sent out previously
