Funny thing about PRWeb.com, a highly recommended PR release distribution company that I use and send others to. (See my post on recent return rates.) You don’t actually GET a lot of publicity. But you do get SE rank and presence - and perhaps that’s the point.
Got this comment from a reader recently:
I am starting [...]
Well… maybe not EXACTLY a hybrid blog-website, but this is a step forward for the blog v. site argument. My beef (which I’ve aired here before) on traditional flat sites is that they’re expensive, usually webmaster-dependent, and don’t come with all the good promo bells and whistles that blogs do. Major SE indexing on Google [...]
My web-pal Sherman Hu, who is an expert on Word Press among other things, wrote a thought provoking post about using social bookmarking to get yourself out there.
This is really an extension of the little chat I started here yesterday about tagging. But the great thing Sherman has done is to take the conversation [...]
Here’s an update from my excellent Web VA, Peggy Murrah, who says,
"I found a really cool tool for generating Technorati tags …Best of all, it’s a freebie."
Whoa … wait … back up! So what’s a Technorati tag? Those are those random little words that appear at the bottom of my posts on this blog [...]
Lately I’ve been really investigating a better way to maximize press releases online, and have put to use a really good product for learning these ropes. Marc Harty, an SEO expert, has put together a system he calls PR Traffic for creating and posting releases that are optimized for the search engines.
I’ve learned a lot [...]

I personally love these websites that are all about group participation, taking your own space, and contributing lists, ideas, info and links. It’s basically taken the ‘viral marketing’ concept championed by Seth Godin and others a few years back, and organized it.
And I noticed even the venerable Joan Stewart is writing about it these [...]
Regarding our on-going discussion about what happens if your broadcast service, i.e. 1shoppingcart.com, goes kerflooey. Recently I contemplated out loud moving to aweber and got a ton of comments begging me to back off, think about it, and not be too rash. Here’s a response from my coaching partner, Pam Slim.
"… you are actually required to [...]
Here’s a post by my ‘Manager of All Things’, Lorraine Carol, a consultant I work with who advises me on … well … all kinds of things. It’s about an easy, automated way to send a little love to clients, potential clients, members of the media, possible JV partners, and more.
"SendOutCards is the perfect tool [...]
Andy Wibbels, God love him, is really beating the drum to get us all to pay attention to congressional hearings underway regarding ‘Net Neutrality’. If you sell online, your liberty may soon be at risk. Read on, and better yet, listen up.

I did an interview last week with an industry expert on the anti-net [...]
